Easy Breakfast Casserole

I live in Alaska, my daughter lives in New Jersey, and she got married in Dallas Texas last month. Talk about a logistic nightmare. It's hard enough to plan a wedding, but doing it long distance makes it very challenging and frustrating. This wedding was small, just family and friends, and my daughter wanted her reception to be in a small, quaint Italian restaurant. She found Angelo's Italian Grill online, and we ended up choosing them for our reception - boy did we make a good decision! Angelo's is only a few miles from the Dallas Arboretum, where the wedding took place.

Taste was okay, it wasn't as good as the other flavor we tried, but I found that if I substitute sausage stew and add a little more spaghetti sauce to the meal, it is actually quite tasty!

I went to the Rolli at 205 Ocean Avenue, just across the street from Melbourne Beach. To get there, take the Melbourne Causeway to SR A1A south until you run into Ocean Avenue, then go east. Rolli is sandwiched between the Black Dog Bait & Tackle Shop and the Port d'Hiver bed sausage casserole green lentils breakfast.

This is a great side dish that can be made into a fantastic breakfast meal! It requires water, cheese, and a can of Campbell's Cheese Soup. My friend decided it would make a good slow cooker sausage hash brown casserole to take to a brunch. Well, she was right! She made the casserole, mixed in some prepared scrambled eggs and cooked breakfast sausage and topped it all off with some cheese melted on top. The guests at the brunch all just HAD to have the recipe! What a HIT!

I admit, I am not a morning person, combine that with a house full of people to get out the door (two of them being preschoolers) and the need to avoid rush hour traffic and long drop off lines at the school and a morning routine or schedule is not only helpful, but essential. Of course as my children grew up my oldest is these routines change but there are few tips I slow cooker sausage casserole can share for preventing morning madness.

Get up before everyone else. I admit this is the hardest one for me, but if you do wake up first you can get your first cup of coffee or juice in peace, take a shower and some mornings even get dressed all by yourself.

Add garlic, and spices of your choice. I love seasoning salt and pepper. I also like celery and parsley. Mix these ingredients all together and tear up day old bread, about 6 slices. You don't want the mixture too dry. Pour into your greased pan and bake at about 375 degrees. You can cover it if it starts getting too brown. You will have to bake it for about 45 minutes. When a toothpick inserted comes out not wet and eggy it is done. You can either cover it or refrigerate it and heat it up in the morning or bake it in the morning. My family likes it as a side dish with their dinner too.
