With the economy being in as much turmoil as it is, it is important to have a good hand on your personal finances. It is important to be organized and to closely watch your expenditures or else you'll find yourself in debt before you know it. This article can help prevent that.


The abundance of culinary schools are producing so called chefs at a rate that is currently lowering my standard of living. In 1980 I was making $10.00 an hour as a chef in a nice commercial walkie talkie. Today they are still paying $10.00 an hour. I recently left a company that was paying me $60K a year as an executive chef. They asked me to take a pay cut because there was some guy willing to do the same job for half. I can't blame the guy who took my job, but I do know he only lasted 3 months because he couldn't hack it. He was a culinary graduate.


Don't dwell on rejection- Due to some, strange law of nature, I've found that getting a first job seemed to be relatively easy. However when it came down to getting another job in the same field which required the same skills and having gained years of experience with some big names - it seemed to be impossible! My friends were getting more rejections than hot dinners. Don't take rejection personally. Consider everything as a learning curve no matter how experienced you are. Always ask for feedback to see why you were rejected, even though you couldn't care less about an employer that's just rejected your application.

Fine dining restaurants use a dollop of Nutella served on waffles or as an ingredient of their "French" pastries. If chefs use it, it has to be good.


Maybe you just want to be funnier at your local party. If you can get regular laughs your popularity will grow. You will feel more comfortable with people and more relaxed making you easier to get along with. Couldn't hurt where you work too. Crack a joke or two round the water cooler and you will have them eating out of your hand. This stuff could really enhance your lifestyle, make you a more confident person and generally give you a new, better lease on life.


The three basic fundamentals mentioned above, you will find, apply to any of the ways to save a marriage that you decide to follow. It's a struggle, but things can and will get better with time and effort. And if you work on the five ways to save a marriage listed below, you will have a good chance of stronger, more restaurant communication skills-depth relationship than you have right now.


We are the land of innovation not mundanity. Chef create, they mange, they innovative they control and they stimulate. I think we need a little more of this in our restautrant choices.
